Junior diver Nolan Honsaker finished in 17th place at the Ohio boys division two state swim meet held in Canton this past weekend.

Swim Recap Feb 19th 2014

After a successful district meet at Cleveland State diver Nolan Honsaker advances to the Ohio boys division two state meet held in Canton. The aurora boys finished 18th/43 teams that scored points for the district meet.

District finishes in order for the boys:
4th place in 1mtr Diving - Nolan Honsaker
13th place in the 400 Free Relay - Nedelka, Nelson, Branscom, Wessels
15th place in the 200 Free Relay - Nedelka, Nelson, Branscom, Wessels
15th place in 1mtr Diving - David Puzder
20th place in the 50 Free - Brian Wessels
23rd place in the 200 Individual Medley - Brock Nelson
24th place in the 200 Free - Anthony Nedelka
29th place in the 100 Fly - Brock Nelson
30th place in the 500 Free - Josh Friedler

Swim Recap Feb 12th 2014

Congratulations to all the swimmers that dropped time this past week at sectionals.  Nearly every swimmer had at least at least one lifetime best time.

For the boys division two sectional Aurora finished 10th of the 34.  Out of the two division two sectional meets the 30 fastest boy swimmers in each event and the 20 fastest relays in each relay event qualified to swim at the Northeast Ohio district meet at Cleveland State University.

For the girls division one sectional Aurora tied for 14th of the 17. Out of the three sectional meets the 40 fastest girl swimmers in each event, and the 20 fastest relays in each relay event qualified to swim at the Northeast Ohio district meet held at Cleveland State University.

Swim Recap Jan 8th 2014

Great meet at Cloverleaf Invitational this past week.  Many swimmers had season best times in both of their events.  Top finishers for Aurora were Alle Hayes getting third in the 100 Free and then Anthony Nedelka getting third in both the 200 Free and 500 Free. Also had the girls 200 Free Relay of Brezovec, Henderson, Mahle, and Hayes getting 4th overall. There were a lot of swimmers in the meet, so some very good performances to place that high.

Swim Recap Jan 11th

On Dec 28th the Aurora High School Swim Team competed at the Wooster Cloverleaf Invitational held in Wooster.  The boys team finished in 9th place out of 18 teams.  The girls team finished in 8th place out of 16 teams.  The invitational is one of the most competitive mid season meets in the north east Ohio district and held in a great facility.  For Aurora swimmers that participated, every member of the team had at least one season best time.   The teams will be back in action on Jan 4th for a dual meet against Crestwood.  The meet will be held at Hiram College and is set to begin at 11am.
